Oh dear. Really unlucky to concede the first goal. The second was a harshly given free kick but Ronaldo's free kick was brilliant. Arsenal just went to bits after that. Manure's third goal was just pure class, what a move
Really feel for Fletcher. It was a great tackle and the lad got redded for it.

Yeah, the only reason, and not too strong of one, was that Fletcher "denied a goal scoring oppurtunity". He just came across Cesc a bit too much. Extremely harsh. Ronaldo's free kick was amazing, but where the hell was Almunia? Man Utd deserved the win as much as it kills me to say that *gag*. I want a Man Utd v Barca final please! Man Utd v Chelsea is getting nearly as boring as Liverpool v Chelsea.

Fletcher should never have got red carded. I think its appalling that in this day and age in the best club competition in the world, he has no right to an appeal.

A right spanking for Arsenal. Once again, i think it is a because of their policy off the field. Wenger needs to learn to keep the experienced players. Im tired of hearing about how he is building for the future blah bah blah...he has been building for long enough, the future is now and Arsenal are failing. To be fair, they did make it to the semi's

Nairobi - An Arsenal fan in football-mad Kenya hung himself following his team's 4-1 aggregate drubbing by arch-rivals Manchester United in the Champions League semi-final, police said on Wednesday.
Suleiman Alphonso Omondi, a 29-year-old Kenyan living in the capital Nairobi's Embakasi neighbourhood, hung himself in his Arsenal shirt late Tuesday after the match, police said.
"We were watching the match at Bamba 70 pub, and when Arsenal was defeated, Suleiman just walked out in protest and he was crying," Calvin Otieno, one of his friends, said.
"We didn't know he was going to hang himself until Wednesday morning when we received the reports and came here to find his body at the balcony," Otieno said outside the deceased's home.
Arsenal slumped to a 3-1 defeat at home in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final, capping a disappointing season for the Gunners who were already out of the Premier League title race early in the season.
Football-related domestic tragedies are frequent in the region, where English clubs enjoy passionate following and European games draw more attention than national and continental games.

absolutely disgraceful behaviour from the chelsea players. ballack and drogba should both be banned from next years competition and terry should be stripped of the captaincy. yet again chelsea have shown how disrespectful they are like they have done before, absolutely disgusting. i love how some reports saying its a uefa conspiracy chelsea lose so it has to be a conspiracy. never made a good job of it then the ref, sending off abidal cos anelka dived

The two players ran past each other and Anelka was clipped. The ref should have let the game go on, or just award a free-kick. Its very easy to sit there and say that the cheslea players behavious was disgraceful, but did you watch the game? Did you see the number of decisions that went against the players? You are the one that is always going on about how the game is begin destroyed and is losing its passion etc etc...the players were clearly overwhelmed by their emotions and acted the way they did because of that. Any other group of players in the same situation would have done exactly the same thing. It was a disgusting display by the ref. Terrible, not only in his refusal to give Chelsea penalties, but also with the sending off of Abidal and a number of other decisions that he blew for during the game.

i did watch the game yes and personally i thought that only 1 of the penalty claims was a definate penalty and that was the pique handball. one of them was outside the box which the ref gave a feekick for, one, drogba went down like a sack of s*** and the other was when he had his back turned so how that can be a 'deliberate' handball i dont know. i'm not saying that the ref had a good game but that doesnt excuse the likes of ballack, drogba and terry's actions. yeah i say theres no passion in the game but chasing a referee up the pitch and screaming in his face is not the same as passion. maybe banning them from the tournament altogther is a bit far but they deserve some sort of ban and terry has to be the most unprofessional captain i've ever seen.

For me there were two DEFINITE penalties. The first was Abidal's foul on Drogba and the second was pique's handball. The foul on Drogba must have been a penalty, his shirt was tugged at violently, AND if you watch the replays you will see that Abidal took out his legs without going anywhere near the ball. As for Drogba overreacting, i actually think that what he did afterward was an act of frustration, not a dive, a sort of a "what more must i do to get a penalty" kinda thing. When he threw himself down, it was more show that he was upset by the decision than to try and get the penalty.
Malouda's foul was a 50-50. I think it could have gone either way and the same for Eto'o. In Eto'os case, despite having his back turned, his hands were raised and the ball caught the upper part of his arm, which it wouldnt have if it wasnt raised. Dont really think it was a penalty. Still, having two clear cut penalties and a couple of 50-50 decisions turned down is just terrible refereeing.

I can understand the frustrations of the Chelsea players, emotions were running high, they'd virtually been robbed of a place in the final... I for one won't take that gracefully.
2 top quality goals tbf though...

I wouldn't call Terry a bad captain, I just read on Sky Sports that he went to the Barcelona dressing room and personally shook each players hands. That takes composure to do, especially after a loss like that.

Terrible, terrible refereeing, no way was that a foul, let alone a sending off and Chelsea should have had three penalties. However, the reaction from Chelsea was disgusting and completely unprofessional. From a neutral point of view, I'd rather see Barcelona in the final than a bunch of idiots behaving like 2 year olds having temper tantrums and spitting the dummy.

From a neutral view, glad to see Barcelona win, looking forward to the final now. As for John Terry, I know I wouldn't have been able to congratulate the opposing team like that after a CL Semi final. Well done.

I didn't see the game, but listened to it on 5 live. They were saying that Chelsea had 3 clear cut penalty claims turned down.
By all accounts the behaviour of Drogba was disgraceful. There is absolutely no excuse for that kind of stuff. I hope UEFA throw the book at him and I hope all the talk about Chelsea offloading him because of his antics is true because I can't stand him. He's even more of a mard a*** than Ronaldo, and that's saying something. He's a great player but for a man so big and strong he just goes down far too easily. When he does fall over un necessarily, like Ronaldo he gives it that hurt little boy 'where's my free kick ref?' look
Regarding the ref, well if these mistakes are as bad as they are widely agreed they are then he should be made to referee Sunday league football in his native country. To have a ref so incompetent in the CL semi final beggars belief.
Boswinga is another cretin. Implying the ref was bought, pathetic. As for the idiots that issued death threats to the ref, they need to seriously get a life.
It goes without saying I hope Barca destroy Manure in the final now.
