Even though they deserved it, I was still gutted. Got so emotional. I used to look at people like they were crazy when they said how emotionally attached they were to their club, but now I really know what they meant. Once you sing You'll Never Walk Alone, you know what it really is, and you are in for life, no looking back. We don't just say/sing it for nothing.

OH...MY...GOD....talk about an emotional rollercoaster....what the hell were the two defences thinking in that game? We were 2-0 down, then from nowhere we were 3-2 up, then before you know, its 4-4 and the game is over....jesus christ!!
but we're going to the semi's, we're going to the semi's!!!!!! I took great delight in watching the liverpool smirks turn into tears in the second half....
Seriously though, most amazing game of football ive ever watched

So proud of our lads, really did us proud tonight without our most influential player. Travelling kop really got behind the team as always, commentator said it all really, Chelsea have to hand out free flags to their fans to try and create some atmosphere while our away fans were in full voice. A real advertisement for football that match, aside from Drogba of course, he's a f****** disgrace.

Its a disgrace that Liverpool had to turn to fouling so much to try and get anywhere....you call Drogba a disgrace when Liverpool players were kicking their way through the second half and then complaining when the ref blew against them? Skrtel kept jumping on and kicking Drogba, there were a number of lunges with studs up, one from behind...and the tackle on Essien??? Studs up, high, caught him on the side of the knee? A lot of refs would have given a straight red for that.

That challenge on Essien was disgraceful, that's how you wreck ligaments and end seasons.

We all know what to expect from Drogba with the falling over s***, we're used to it, but going down injured off the pitch and the rolling yourself back on so the ref stops play, my god thats just embarrassing.

I admit that dive was unnecessary and I wasn't happy to see it.

nick=proper football fan. liverpool fouling? its a contact sport, get used to it. if your players cant take it, tell them to not play. we dont play nicey nice. i do admit that the tackle on essien was extremely bad. who did it? arbeloa? and who gave drogba his acting lessons? ronaldo? i thought the game was an excellent watch, other than dickier drogba. he needs to go jump in a fuckin hole. bunch a bull s***.

You have to admit on that one sideline tackle Drogba was on the receiving end of was a bit bad. For the most part I don't think there were too many bad challenges.
Drogba's diving does get annoying after awhile though. I find myself many times wondering now if there was actually a foul and having to see the replay.

Like Jamie said, we all know what to expect from Drogba, but its selective viewing if thats all you see and you missed the numerous Liverpool challenges. Yes, it is a contact sport, but that doesnt give you the right to kick people all over the place. Masch had to be taken off before he got himself sent off, there were a number of reckless tackles from the liverpool players, but should those be excused just because it is a contact sport? Punching is contact...are we just supposed to tell players not to play because they cant take a punch or a kick? No, that is silly, im all for contact, but it has to be within reason and within th laws of the game. Anyway, the tackling and drogba were minor parts of the game...what we should really be talking about is what the hell the two defences were playing at!

That part when Drogba rolled back onto the pitch was a disgrace! Yes, he's a top player but he pisses me off soooo much with stuff like that! Pathetic!
As for the game, it was crazy. Two genius free-kicks from Aurelio and Alex, top drawer stuff.

All I can say is wow, Hiddink has that team playing amazing. They NEED to keep hold of him. As for us, we were good enough, we just missed Gerrard... this also proved that, without Gerrard, one striker up front isn't enough. Nice to see Lucas get on the scoresheet though. The lads taken some stick yet he gives 100% week-after-week.

I thought Lucas did himself proud. He put in a hell of a lot f effort and was involved in everything, from shouting at the ref, to scoring a goal.

That Man United Porto game was so boring, but an incredible 40 yard strike from Ronaldo was probably worthy of them progressing. A player like that who can just win such a vital game from nothing has to be worth more to the team than £70m any day of the week (Real president saying again today the Ronaldo deal is already done) Now that we're out, I'll be cheering on Arsenal to win it, failing that Barca, and failing that lets just call the whole thing off

What a game the Chelsea V Liverpool was! This was the best match I've seen in some time. Despite us being knocked out and Chelsea deservedly progressing I'm really proud of Liverpool. If we win the league it will be grit and determination we showed at the bridge that will see us through. With a fit Gerrard we might have beaten Chelsea.
As I've said before I'm really glad Rafa has signed the new contract. We are progressing in the league and winning the title is what all true Liverpool fans want more than anything else. A few seasons ago people were saying that Liverpool are not title winning material but now Rafa has got a squad that most people say can really now do it. If not this season then next. A lot of people were also saying that Rafa was more interested in winning the European Cup than the league...evidently they were talking out their s.hit lockers.
Whilst I'm happy with Rafa's progress some of his team selections do leave me wondering. Take Tuesday night for example, with Gerrard not playing Torres seemed to be getting very little service. Why then I wondered did Rafa not pick Riera who can create chances by beating defenders wide, cutting into the box and whipping in passes and crosses.
Well done to United and Arsenal for getting through. Of the four left in I'd like to see Arsenal win it now.

Rafa is a bit of a conundrum. He is undoubtedly a brilliant tactician and manager, but he insists on changing his squad constantly and i still have very serious doubt about zonal marking. I just dont think it works all that well. When cheslea tried it we let in some simple goals and i understand its something the team has to get used t, but this is football, who has the time to change defensive systems, espeically when you are trying to win trophies.

Cheers...... ;D ... never met em in a European game before, but we owe them one after the FA Cup game last year.... I don't think Barca-Chelsea is the foregone conclusion everyone is making it out to be, but if the Catalans win, then we've got some payback to give them as well. Pity Cashley is suspended, would've loved to seen Messi tear him a new one

Yeah I would have liked to see Messi humiliate Cashley too. I agree about Rafa Baf. The zonal marking really cost us in the first leg.

Great defending by Chelsea, really suffocated Barcelona as they could never unlock the Blues defense. I'm happy with the 0-0 going back to the Bridge.

It was a bit dull. Chelsea were great in defence though. Barca should have had a peno when Bosingwa pulled Henry down though. Back to the bridge with Chelsea having the home advantage but Barca having the threat of away goals. Wonder if Marquez will recover in time. Come on Arsenal tonight, make whisky nose lose his balloon again
