If you get a Mac, you can have both. I bought a mac book pro, added vm fusionware and a windows operating system. The downside, you will have to have a virus protection. The upside, you can run ALL programs. Windows opens for me like any other application, looks like a windows desktop and you load your programs into windows. Yes, with Virtual Machine, you can install almost all popular OS (except for few obviously).
But as far as sony vs mac is concerned, it depends on your personal preference and usage. I do most of my work on windows based systems, so I would go for sony. But that doesn't mean I don't like MAC. MAC is also good, but since you know windows OS is most widely used all over the world.
So, what you need to do, visit some website, read/watch reviews of both laptops and then decide which one suits to your needs.
