What did you think of those two Norwich supporters who ran over to Brian Gunn after their spanking on the opening day of the season and threw their season tickets at him? I personally thought they were dispicable. Maybe they need reminding of how Brian Gunn kept goal for them, two days after his baby daughter died.

Still though, done a shocking job at Norwich.

They'll regret it. Perhaps not for doing it but for the money they lost. You generally do that at the end of the season, not after the 1st game!

Still though, done a shocking job at Norwich. They fired him today....I would assume for that EXACT reason lol

I don't get it 1 game ffs, after an unbeated pre season (including full strength Wigan and Palace teams and Man United XI) I reckon it's the new Chief Exec who has just come in (ex Fulham MD) knows his football unlike the previous guy and saw Gunn wasn't up to the job. Still very odd timing though.

Nahhhh, if its as you say that the new Chief Exec. came in and saw he wasn't up for the job then its kinda perfect timing. Allows a week or so to bring in new manager, asses the players and maybe get a new one in or whatever! Also means that they dont have to fire him later and disrupt the team proceedings later on in the season!

Stupid timing, but a good decision, never the right man, the right manager should get you lot back into the big time of the Championship

They should ahve at least given him enough games to try and redeem himself. I would expect the new manager to be already waiting in the wings and for an appointment to be made very shortly. Otherwise this was an awful decision from the board so early in the year.

they shouldnt have hired him anyway, everyone knows that goalkeepers do not make good managers in that sense its worked out for norwich but either fire him in pre season or give him more than one game for christ sake. also they never fired him after they lost to colchester but they did fire him after they won 4-0 in the league cup, whats all that about

Given the Chief Exec said Norwich' #1 target has all but signed already (current league manager, no idea who though) I reckon the wheels were already in motion before the 4 - 0 win. I doubt Mcnally ever wanted Gunn in charge as he was appointed before he got the Chief Exec job and so was waiting for the first opportunity to look for a replacement, I guess he got it sooner than he expected.

if the wheels were in motion before the 4-0 win then i think its a bit unfair to gunn to string him along like that

WTF! Theyve appointed the manager who guided Colchester to that 7-1 win against them, Paul Lambert

Must be weird for him - he just demolished a s*** team, and now it's his team

If you can't beat 'em, nick their entire management team.
