In all fairness after going down a man Scolari made defensively-minded substitutions.

f****** hell whats going on at the top? can't believe we keep getting away with drawing and still retaining that top spot. Managed to see most of our game in the end and two fantastic finishes for the goals, Keane needs to do that much more often though.
Sorry about the name Nick ;D
^^ sooooo close to justifying it though yesterday!

It was a nasty tackle though, studs up, 1 foot off the ground, could have easily broken a leg right? I also laughed at Lampard and A Cole when they got carded within a minute of each other over the free kick

Did anyone see the Aston Villa v Arsenal game? That was a great one! Fast paced, physical, beautiful plays being strung together! Villa really should have won that game, but hit it off the woodwork too many times. Liverpool game... Wow, we were fired up from the get-go and finally took 3 points at home.. Very nice, crisp passing going on, Bolton left too many gaps, were chasing, which left us wide open with perfect seams to hit. This just got me thinking, but what will happen when Fabio and Martin come back? Current line up has Hyypia, Carra, Agger, and Insua, who are all very good fullbacks. Its going to be a battle for positions back in the defense now! Just don't put Dossena in I do really like Carragher as a right back though. I also really like Insua and Agger back there. Hyypia is good as well, but not one of my top players.

LMAO Phil Brown lead his team in to the corner of the pitch in front of their travelling fans, apologised to them for the performance, and gave his half time team talk there in front of them Just waiting for Liverpool highlights

Brilliant day! We beat 10 man Stoke who got Fuller sent off for b**** slapping one of his team mates. If you haven't seen it, watch MOTD tonight, too funny! Up to 10th in the table now and Totts lose to West Brom! Great day!

Newcastle were a joke today, it was men against boys. Its ridiculous how much we rely on Bassong and Beye to stay fit, and its crazy how little depth we have in the squad considering how injury prone we are. We badly need: LB, RB, AM and another FIT striker. Gerrard and Given were class today aswell, if we had any other keeper in the world today it would have been 6+, the defence was cringeworthy, Steven Taylor and Edgar are sooo crap, we looked sunday league.

woooohoooooooo!!! just got home to find Chelsea dropped points which puts us 3 clear at the top was another Liverpool vs Newcastle classic earlier (in entertainment terms, I know toon fans won't see it that way) but Given was pure class today, we should have had 3+ more and would have if it wasn't for him. My brother was so cocky before the game thinking they might get something so was f****** brilliant watching us knock them in and winding him up, his face was a picture

I was disappointed that Rafa/Sammy took Gerrard out before that penalty. Could've had a hatrick! Was a little sad that Robbie didn't play either. I really like him on the pitch, he could have knocked some more of those goals in.

I think Rafa has not played Keane in almost every game after he has scored, I can think of 3 occasions he did that (and he's not scored many more times )

Oh dear at Stoke managers interview after the game, apparently he didn't think his keeper had a save to make in the second half! Erm...you conceded 2 goals in the second half not to mention a brilliant save from Boa Morte. He seemed very sour and was wingeing on about how bad the ref was against his team. Think he should be more concerned about his own players getting sent off for slapping each other, no wonder the're looking at relegation!

Well when they show him on TV, you can see the disappointment and frustration on his face. I think he is a great player personally, and he still has potential to be even better. He sets up so many plays for us. Poor guy Kuyt was crappy today I thought. Touches were even more off than usual
