Big game for us against a good Reading side, but we can beat anyone at Oakwell (but also lose to anoyne). At our best i'm confident in saying we'll beat them.
Cureton to start (hopefully).
Happy with a draw tbh.

They won't give up Reading fair doo's and the Hunt brothers give 110% throughout. Preston home for us, expectation suggests we'll win, would like to see Bothroyd and McCormack back up front if i'm honest but struggling in the middle of the park. A win would be a good result giving the circumstances, and I think we'll get just that.

Second half today is the best performance of the season for me, Routledge on one wing, Parry on the other, and Bothroyd holding things up we were running things. Can't see how Preston will be up there come end of season, they didn't really offer anything, and Neil Mellor looks the most unfit player in the league. Great result for us, and great performance. Bring on Burnley Tuesday night.

parry second half was sensational, ran the full back ragged and crossing was spot on. same for routledge who has been motm every time he's played for us. bothroyd up front gets on the end of everything. those 3 just ran everything second half

I don't know how Preston are classed as Play-off contenders, they are shocking.
Not too downheartened, Odejayi cost us yet another 3 points with 2 missed sitters (getting used to saying that) Something has to give with him, he is s***.

LMAO Roeder's reaction when Croft scored was f****** priceless, he looked like a little girl who'd just got the Barbie she wanted for Christmas. Oh and "2nd most passionate Derby" actually, as the commentator said today Good game though, awesome goal from Croft and I think Pattisons 3rd goal since his first ever for the club against Forest a few weeks ago, good to see he's put all that driving to training pissed out of his head....only to find it was Sunday and there was no training, stuff behind him 2nd goal was funny as hell, Lita running up to the referee when Norwich got a free kick and telling him Mccauley was bleeding so the ref had no other option but to make him leave the pitch, only for Norwich to score from it LOL

Pretty poor first half really. Good second, Pattison tried his best to miss that mind haha, came crashing off the bar. I'm surpised Norwich are in that position in the league mind, they looked pretty promising today but as for Ipswich, whether they were just rocked in the derby but they were piss poor. Can't see anything to fear from them next Saturday, but again, Portman road is a bit of a fortress for them. Good to see a nice family atmosphere in the game today though.

Indeed, selling out 26,000 every week there is generally always a good atmosphere in comparison to the half empty grounds you see at most Championship clubs

I honestly can't remember what your away support was like anyway to be honest, I do however remember Huckerby's final game for Norwich against you at Carrow road at the end of his loan spell, game finished 4 - 1 to Norwich and after Huckerby scored an amazing solo goal the Cardiff fans were all signing 'you'll never see him again'

Haha. My only trip to Carrow Road was when we won 2-1, and big Roger Johnson scored one of his best headers ever to give us the win. We were buzzing. I like how theres a hotel over-looking the pitch aswell, few people were in there windows watching.

Oh yeah that must have been last season as I no longer had a season ticket then, the hotel is new, a genius move by the club when demand for season tickets far outweighs the number of available spaces I guess they must just make more money from that than they would filling the ground with more supporters

Any memories of Barnsley fans?

Post by Shanks5974 on Dec 9, 2008 22:57:25 GMT 1
Me? because I remember the first or second year I had a season ticket at Carrow road was 01/02 and Norwich were just outside the play offs and had to win the last 2 games to finish 6th and Barnsley at Carrow road was the penultimate which Norwich one by a goal (can't remember the actual score) but it was right near the end went to the play off final in Cardiff that year, when Birmingham won on penalties think that was the season you were relegated?
