I am supporting Spain for Spain. An individual player is not going to change my mind. I have been a Spain supporter since I was teeny tiny, my grandpa got me into it. He's pure Spanish. He did the same with my mom too. We "support" the USA but we aren't necessarily fans I guess if that makes sense.

I hope I wasn't the only one hoping that an Italian player would just bash Robinho's head in, arrogant little prick that he is.....

Yeah he was; finally showed up to play when USA needed him the most Spain v USA on in 22 minutes! This is gonna be brutal The score might not say it, but USA is gonna get their asses handed to them on a plate. They have no clue what they are going up against. Well, they should have some clue... But Spain always has different tricks up their sleeves. Villa and Torres are gonna rip Onyewu and Spector and Bornstein and that other guy (?) apart... Too bad Iniesta is injured though, I was looking forward to seeing him play in this tourney. Xavi and Xabi will be there though, hopefully Arbeloa and Riera will get a start. I doubt Reina will play in goal though Stupid Del Bosque I think Casillas and Reina are equally good, I just think that Casillas is a wee bit quicker on reaction time sometimes. But hey, 4-0 says a lot EDIT: Oh, and Donovan (overrated American poster boy ) and Jozy are gonna get shut down pretty fast by Puyol, Pique, Ramos, Capdevila, and Marchena (think that's how you spell it). Dempsey isn't going to be able to break through too often either.

oh f****** s***. i knew i was going to jinx it by talking spain up these past few days. we are dominating possession 70-30, but we are horrid in the final third with USA having a bunch of Oh s***! moments. Spain keeps trying to play the square ball into the box, but USA knows everytime what they are doing, its very predictable. come on spain..

I hope USA win to spite you Just because you don't support your own country and because you assumed that Spain would trash them which was not a way to go

And now, my spite completed...I return, to hating the Americans winning anything!!! Spain were terrible in the first and not good enough in the second half. My man of the match is Donavan (Spelling?) and Jay Demerit who i think is a legend. I was quite impressed by one player who i thought was quite sharp tonight, and has some pace about him. Can't remember his name but it was the guy who tried the over-head kick early on

ROBBED...are you serious? f****** robbed? That's a load of s**** that is. USA were defensively amazing, showed complete heart and drive for the win and deserved it overall. They robbed nothing, Spain just lost it mentally and it showed on numerous occasions!!!! Don't belittle a great USA performance!

This might actually be a good thing for Spain, by bringing them down to earth, maybe they'll be more careful and focused when the world cup comes around next year.....We all know what happened to France in 2002.
