that was a blood awful performance and co commontater Chris Waddle was really p*sing me off he was to frightened to say any critisism about England's performance tonight how ever he might try to justify it 2-0 against a team like Andora is an unexceptable performance.
yet again our over payed prima donnas have struggled to beat a team who are no better than a side in the lower non-leagues IMO we have 11 players on the pitch but we don't have a team.

that was f****** humiliating lets put this into perspective here, azerbaijan are like 150 something in the world and they're playing away and f****** toshack plays one up front, what the f*** you expect to attack a s*** team like that but even if you do play 1 up front, earnshaw isnt the one to play, he's small and pacey so he needs someone to play off, he had a bad game but it wasnt his fault. even when we did finally make a substitution, he put a striker on for a striker so we still got 1 up front, how the f*** is that going to win us the game toshwank. it took azerbaijan to go down to 10 men for toshack to put someone else up front and even then it took him 10 minutes to do so. f****** disgrace of a manager, i really seriously cant think of a worse manager than him. russia will put at least 5 past us midweek

Unbelievable man Toshack, he should just step down as everyone thinks he's a t***. The worst part was the team selection aswell as the tactics aswell as the clueless substitutions. Firstly, 4-5-1 at home? Shouldn't be playing that against anyone, especially at home, thats what playing at home is for, you already have the advantage, but to do it against Azerbaijan is just humiliating. What kind of message is that sending out? Terrible. Then, to play 5 in midfield, and one of them being Carl Fletcher is beyond me. Crystal Palace reserves and on transfer list, quite clearly his internation career is over, if it ever started. Why waste time playing rejects like this who supply and contribute nothing to the team, whereas Aaron Ramsey has a great future, and would of thrived playing for the Wales first team, and would of done a good job against Azerbaijan yesterday. Finally, the striker choice, to go along with the formation chosen. This is almost contridicting yourself, 1 up front, but Earnshaw? Don't get me wrong, half decent player, but if you're playing 1 up front, you need a lad who can hold the ball up, win headers and be a handful. Earnshaw is pacey, likes to get behind the defenders and provide a finish, whilst playing alongside someone, which in this case, he was not. Totally clueless. Then, as if things an't bad enough and lumps of humiliation has already been piled on Wales, he takes off Earnshaw for f****** Ched Evans. Again, don't get me wrong, Ched Evans is a TOP player and he made a difference. But all game we are crying out for two strikers and when it finally comes to it, he continues with one up front. After Azerbaijan had a man sent off and we miss a penalty, Toshack finally puts on another striker in Sam Vokes to partner Evans. We played and caused the best trouble of the match for the opposition at this stage, apart from there was only 5 minutes left. Yes i'll take the three points, but theres no way we can even think about a small chance of qualifying with a d******* like this in charge. No ambition, not the right man for the job.

Disappointed to say the least!
I know it's not all about the goals, but 2 is less than what McLaren got as manager, and what happened to him after the game?
I don't understand the selection of Downing, he cannot do it at international level.

Whatever you think of the selection for the England game, the blame lies squarely with the players, not the manager. The team that was out there should easily done a number on a country whose population is less that half the size of my town!

The perpetual conundrum with England: field great players but still get fucked up results. The way England are looking, Canada isn't looking too bad for the next World Cup.

I can't see how England can ever change, they always seem to have this thing about them where they don't impress, even if they were to win 5-6 goals to nil, they would somehow still play badly whilst doing so.

England are just boring to watch. We apparently have the best squad in years but we play the worst football we've played in years. It just doesn't make sense to me.
I found Soccer Aid a lot more entartaining. We could do with a young Shearer and Sheringham up there.

but they may be used to the conditions yeah but that's why you play every team twice, so that you play under your own conditions and the conditions of the opponants aswell. Makes it fair...sort of
